Last Sunday, 13 May, we celebrated the World Migratory Bird Day! On that occasion, MES organised birdwatching tours in the Skopje City Park. This presented great opportunity for the people of Skopje to get to know the avifauna in the city’s green getaway. The interest was great, with tour vacancies instantly gone. In addition, people taking part expressed their wish that such tours be conducted on a regular basis.
The World Migratory Bird Day is an initiative ensuing from the Convention on Migratory Species and the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement.
