This programme ensures support for almost all of MES’s project activities and programmes. The programme promotes the means of data collection, management and use. The GIS expert team works on innovative solutions four our studies, and, if needed, it provides training to the staff, volunteers and conservation groups. The need to establish a separate programme for GIS analytics and database creation and management emerged from the expanding range of project activities in relation to the development of various cartographic materials, database creation, as well as implementation of spatial and statistical analysis. Programme’s ultimate goal is informed decision making within the Society through systematic and visual representation of study data and results. The GIS Analytics and Database Management Programme is being continuously upgraded following global trends and methodology development. Our works requires continuous update of relevant data at local, regional and global level.
