On 17th<\/sup> April, the young female golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), was successfully released and returned in the Mariovo wilderness, after 75 days of tireless care and medical treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though the first prognosis was not positive, the perseverance of Macedonian Owl Trust (MOT) members, dr. Dimche Velkovski as well as the other enthusiasts resulted in a positive outcome.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bird healed and began to hunt independently after it spent three weeks in isolation in the Skopje Zoo, where it had the opportunity to adapt itself for the return in nature.<\/span><\/p>\n
