That is why the counting and the monitoring of these species is used as an indicator for the changes in the environment, it is also a traditional practice in many European countries. Starting from 2007, MES joined this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebcc.info\/\">European initiative<\/a>, aiming at the estimation of the condition of the environment with the help of these species of birds.<\/p>\n<p>The methodology of the counting of common bird species is simple and unified for all the countries participants and is carried out twice a year from 15<sup>th<\/sup> April till 15<sup>th<\/sup> June,\u00a0 a period which encompasses the end of the migration and nesting of the birds.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about counting these birds in Macedonia, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mes.org.mk\/index.php?option=com_content&#038;view=article&#038;id=82%3A2009-06-11-23-39-26&#038;catid=46%3A2009-06-11-23-39-52&#038;Itemid=123&#038;lang=mk\">here<\/a>, and if you want to know about the condition of the development of the indicators on a European level, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebcc.info\/index.php?ID=392\">here<\/a>.
